Varnavas Playbell is an experienced Cyprus lawyer with more than 12 years of dedicated practice in property law and related aspects, acting for buyers, sellers, developers, constructors, landlords, and tenants, both natural persons and institutional clients.

He is the founder and managing director of Playbell & Co., a boutique international law firm based in Limassol, Cyprus, practicing corporate and commercial law, with offices in Dubai and a representative office in Lebanon.

Varnavas obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree LLB (Hons) from the University of Manchester, UK. After earning a scholarship from the Fulbright Commission, he obtained a Master of Laws degree LLM (Hons) from the University of Chicago, USA, consistently ranked as one of the top-tier law schools in the world. Later in his career, he also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from IE Business School in Madrid with a scholarship from the institution.

Varnavas started his career by undertaking his training with one of the largest law firm in the island, where he continued as an associate providing legal services and assistance to an international clientele, either directly or in partnership with major international law firms, predominantly in relation to high-profile, cross-border corporate transactions. He then joined a medium size firm Legal as a Senior Associate and became a Partner soon thereafter, heading the corporate transactions department.

His main practice areas include Corporate & Commercial Law, Property Law, and Financial Services Regulation.

He is a member of the New York Bar Association and the Cyprus Bar Association.
